Leaf Removal
It is critical that leaves be removed from a lawn before winter sets in. Dead spots in the lawn in the early spring are most often caused by leaves. Leaf removal is a critical step in the environmental control of weeds. Dead spots of turf in the early spring are breeding grounds for broad leaf weeds that will need to be controlled with dangerous chemicals if they are not controlled in the fall. By removing leaves before winter sets in, weeds will be less of in issue in the spring.
Leaves can contribute to other lawn problems like snow mold, and turf pests. The moist cover of leaves, are prime for a whole hosts of issues.
Persnickety attacks this issue the good old fashion way. We rake them up and remove them from the site. We don’t use biological treatments.
